We live in times where reflecting on our own thoughts becomes inflationary luxurious .
The expanding informational bubble around us, forces our brain to ingest more data, leaving less time to foresee the future outcome of our processed thoughts.
One way for us to adapt, is to limit our informational bubble and become more selective. We do it already. Both as individuals or communities.
Being an individual process, with no observable shared objective, a consequence of this pattern, could be an explosive polarised perception of reality, up to a modern Tower of Babel.
We can observe the effect today as it’s becoming more difficult to incorporate new truths in our reality by choosing the more lazier alternative: inflating our own informational bubble with different sayings of what we already know.
Another way to cope, the one we rather choose, could be to eliminate future scenarios completely from our thoughts by learning to integrate our biology into the surrounding dynamic context.
Surfing on our thoughts and freeing up processing brain power by delegating it to our inherited evolutionary trained biology.
Maybe similar with the process of learning to drive up to the point where your whole body frees up your brain and you don’t remember how you end up safely home. Known as a state of flow in the western culture.
The difference is that we are both the car and the driver and the destination will be questioned as we go learning.
Our imaginative alternative future is to train our bodies into gradually begin to open and activate new skills, while increasingly delegating cognitive processes to a more aware body, which is already embedded in a global sense of consciousness, so no plans needed :).
To become The Future, we could take the Observer position of ourselves and start training.
Individually developing this new skill of awareness, assisted by scalable technology, could be Humanity’s ticket to Freedom.
If not scalable at peace speed with current default future, we will end up with a vast network of disconnected yoga and meditation hubs. Worst case scenario is not bad after all.
If there is to succeed, we could imagine a globally integrated Humanity mostly composed by whole individuals with high capabilities to feel and explosive technological aid capabilities to foresee on how to navigate toward a shared horizon.
If there is to fail, we could imagine an environmental decoupled Humanity composed by lost, anxious individuals, caught in a tech-accelerated down spiral, toward infinite different ways to nowhere.
